Audi 2.0 TFSI wins "International Engine of the Year" Award for 2008 A specialist jury made up of 65 respected automotive journalists from 32 countries has voted the 2.0 TFSI winner of the 1.8-litre to 2-litre category at the International Engine of the Year Awards for the fourth year in a row.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) recently named the 2008 Audi A4 as a “Top Safety Pick” in the midsize category. The A4 comes standard with dual front, front side and depending upon model, either Side Curtain Protection or seat mounted thorax/head airbags. That is combined with the anti-lock braking and an Electronic Stabilization Program. To achieve a “Top Safety Pick” rating from IIHS, vehicles must have a rating of “good” in front, side, and rear crash protection. The Audi A4 achieved the highest-level crash ratings. The Audi Q7, a luxury performance SUV, earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's (IIHS) Top Safety Pick award for 2008. The 2008 Q7 received a "good" rating in all three crash tests: side impact, offset frontal and rear impact seat tests. In addition to the Q7, three Audi car models -- the A3, A4 and A6 -- have also been recognized as Top Safety Picks in 2008, earning Audi the most Top Safety Pick designations for 2008 models of any luxury automaker this year. The Q7's 2008 rating applies to models built after December 2007 and will carry over to the 2009 model year.
